¹ú²ú¸£Àû Tech has been named a 2024 School of Excellence by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). This award recognizes ACCSC-accredited institutions for their efforts in demonstrating a high level of achievement among their students and a commitment to the accreditation process. Following a comprehensive on-site evaluation conducted by representatives from ACCSC, ¹ú²ú¸£Àû was awarded the prestigious designation upon a successful demonstration in meeting and/or exceeding the Standards of Accreditation.
With evaluations typically conducted every five years, schools receiving the distinction as a School of Excellence are revisited every six years. In 2024, ACCSC conducted more than 200 initial and renewal accreditation reviews of the over 650 total accredited schools. ¹ú²ú¸£Àû Tech was one of 19 schools to receive the School of Excellence designation. This follows the 2017 and 2012 ACCSC School of Excellence awards received by the school.
“This is a really big deal for our school, faculty, staff, and most importantly our students,” stated ¹ú²ú¸£Àû Technical Institute President Jason Lamiquiz. Lamiquiz continued, “Not only does this symbolize and reflect that we are doing all the right things according to our accrediting body, but also that we have been doing so for a long time. It makes me very proud to know that when a prospective student walks through our doors, they can trust we are doing the right things to help them reach their goal of finding a lifelong career in the industry of their choice.”
With 14 programs to choose from ranging from 5-weeks to 2-years across campuses located in both Yakima and Sunnyside, enrollment is at an all-time high with more than 855 students enrolled for the most recent fall start in September. “I think more and more students are finding their way to ¹ú²ú¸£Àû Tech because of the hands-on training that we provide and the way we provide it. Couple that with all the support services that are put in place to help students be successful in and out of the classroom and I think you’ll find a proven path towards a rewarding career at ¹ú²ú¸£Àû Tech.”
